Sadly, Peanut Butter Does Not Cure Procrastination

Today is Sunday. I dislike this.

You know how you get that giddy feeling on Friday and you're all like, "OYAY THE WEEKEND'S HERE AND I HAVE SO MUCH TIME TO GET EVERYTHING DONE YAY LEISURE!" so you don't really do anything except for stay up late reading old Hyperbole and a Half posts?

And then Saturday comes and you've spent most of that doing fun having-a-life activities such as participating in zombified productions of Twelfth Night and playing the Hunger Games with your friends by poking them with sticks (both very fun endeavors) and then oh my grapefruit it's eleven but don't worry it's still only Saturday so you have time, right?

And you wake up at eleven on Sunday and eat a nice breakfast and think, "Oh, yay, I still have a whole day ahead of me and I'm happy!" So you spend the morning reading Hyperbole and a Half and devouring Lindor truffles and frozen yakisoba because your period gives you weird cravings and then you notice it's three in the afternoon and holy crap, you haven't gotten anything done yet?

... Well. Maybe that's just me.

So here I am, sitting at my laptop eating peanut butter and with none of my goals accomplished at all. It's usual weekend procedure, but that doesn't mean I never get an eensy bit disappointed about it. Even though the combined wonderfulness of Hyperbole and a Half and peanut butter is hard to top, that 'Yes! I was productive!' feeling sadly beats it.

To conclude: peanut butter does not cure procrastination, and Kal should really do her English work now (or at least write).
